My name is Adam, and I’m an aspiring Maker – I’ve always had ideas, but lacked the resources to act decisively on them.   We’re approaching a future where suddenly resources matter alot less because good ideas can be physically produced for little more than the cost of material…. I think this is going to change everything, and this blog is a record of my successes, failures, and thoughts about both along the way.

On Collaboration (excerpt from my first post)

love the collaborative eco-system that has developed in the open-hardware/software movement over the past few years.   Thingiverse has become a recent obsession, It’s the closest thing to jazz I’ve ever seen online. It’snot something I was much interested in previously, but there is something soinfectiously exciting about watching people “riff” off each others ideas; iterating fast and quick with one designersrevised version inspiring the next designer toimprove, I just can’t help myself.

My life and philosophy summed up in Douglas Adams quotes

“I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be.”

“If somebody thinks they’re a hedgehog, presumably you just give ’em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.”

“The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair”

“Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”

“To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.”

“I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”

I love BITCOIN!  If you want to donate to the cause (hosting and writing lubrication), drop me a tip
